Reports from the field

From the mid-1990s onwards, Cambridge United supporters have been privileged to be able to read match reports from the keyboard of the inimitable Andrew Bennett.

Observant, thorough, pithy, often laugh-out-loud funny and always entertaining, they have earned a place in U's folklore, and Coconuts is proud to present them here – a few at a time.

While we wrestle with the technology that will enable us to publish Andrew's reports from between 1997 and 2002, we must content ourselves with those from 2002 on. Read, enjoy, reminisce and learn.

We have now also started to publish match reports written by Graham Nurse, United supporter extraordinary and author with Brian Attmore of Cambridge United FC 100 Greats and Images of Sport.
