Salute the flag

Time was when many of the supporters flooding the back streets as they made their way to their football ground of choice would be wearing a rosette in their club's colours. Sadly, those days are gone, but pennants are still common sights and flags nowadays adorn the terraces as well as fans' bedrooms. Here are some examples from the collections of Barry Benton and Andrew Bennett. Click on any image to get a larger view.

We know there are many more flags of all shapes and sizes out there. Do you have one? Please consider photographing it, letting us have a look or, if it's past its sell-by date, even donating it to 100 Years of Coconuts. Contact us here.
