On display here are club badges in all shapes and sizes and representing many eras, from the collections of Barry Benton, Andrew Bennett, Alan Burge, Colin Purdew and Brian Thorby. From 1978 to 1986, the club used what has become known as the 'book' logo, which made an appearance on many badges.

Some Cambridge United badges have featured the Abbey Stadium, home of the club and its predecessor, Abbey United, since 1932.
Some Supporters' Club badges date back decades, as can be seen in the rare Abbey United Supporters' Club badge below left.

Following the Moose legend's appearance in 1989, mascot Marvin was born and duly featured on badges.
Badges produced for matches or tournaments are perhaps older than you thought. The first shown here dates from the 1979/80 Anglo-Scottish Cup.
